Rabbi Ed Feld will offer a Scholar in Residence program during the weekend of September 7, 2012. As many of you know, The Emanuel Synagogue will be embracing the new Mahzor Lev Shalem, edited by Rabbi Feld. This prayer book is truly remarkable for its fresh translation, commentary, and prose of reflection which accompany the High Holiday prayers. Rabbi Feld’s visit will provide us all with an invaluable opportunity to learn about the background behind this new Mahzor, and ecome familiar with it in anticipation of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Please join in sharing the excitement surrounding the arrival of Lev Shalem, your new Mahzor!

The 2012 Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah Class will share their simcha on Saturday, June 2, 9:00 am.
Wednesdays, 7:30 pm.
Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a two-year course of study that includes Hebrew reading (beginners are welcome), trope, Torah study, the structure of the service and other aspects of Jewish knowledge.
