transMISSIONs is a car donation program run by Jewish Family Services in partnership with the Good News Gargage, a Lutheran Social Service.

Have a car you’re no longer using or no longer need?
Donate it to Jewish Family Services and you will:

• Provide affordable and reliable transportation opportunities for low income families in Greater Hartford striving toward financial self-sufficiendy
• Promote economic development by providing work to a local business’support the many programs serving the clients of Jewish Family Serives
• Qualify for a tax deduction – possibly even the highest deduction allowable under IRS regulations

This program far exceeds any car donation program out there because:

• Cars donated get “refurbished” and given to a low-income family in need making it a win/win – win for the family/win for the environment
• Donor gets the blue book value of the car for their tax deductions – other programs are capped
• Both Good News and JFS receive actual money from the donation – other programs make no profit because of the high cost of junking the car.

USY Advisor – Duties include supervision of our senior (grades 9-12) youth group and chaperoning the teens at regional events.

Teacher – Grade 5 – Teaching all religious school subjects (Hebrew, Bible, History, Prayer, Holidays) from 4-6 on Tuesday afternoons and Sunday mornings from 9-12 plus staff meetings on Mondays from 4-6.
