Choir
The Emanuel Adult Choir enhances our services on festivals and occasionally on Shabbat, and serves as a social, musical, and 
spiritual outlet for its members.
Rehearsals and performances:
- Rehearsals are generally Tuesday evenings throughout the year.
High Holy Day Services. - Shabbat Shira (The Sabbath of Song).
- The Sharon Barshay Music Service in June.
- In the past, the choir has performed at the New England Jewish Choral Festival in Newton, MA, and at our own Yiddish Choral Festival.
The choir is under the direction of Hazzan Sanford Cohn, with Joan Glazier assisting.

The Emanuel Junior Choir consists mainly of children in grades 3 through 5, but some younger children participate as well.
Some of the times and places we sing at are:
- Services and concerts at the synagogue.
- Hughes Health and Rehabilitation Center.
- Holiday Stroll in West Hartford Center.
