Kids Purim Festival and Feast
On Sunday, March 25, 2012, we held a Purim Festival and Feast for young children and their parents. Close to 200 attended and as you will see by these photos all had a great time. With the help of many volunteers and high school students, the morning began with stations featuring arts & crafts, games, hamantaschen making, and face painting. At 11:00 AM, all were invited to attend a Purim performance of the original Purim musical, In the City of Shushan, our festive version of the Megilah. Thanks to Grae Sibelman, Family Educator and her committee for planning and executing the morning, to Denise Order for costume design and event organizing assistance, Beth Polebaum, co-teacher for script editing and co-directing the play, food and drink organizer and event planning assistance, Shoshi Cohn for set design, Joanne Pasternack for hamantachen dough making, Rick Lasker and the Minyonaires for party favor organizing, the Membership Committee for helping to fund this event and to Anne Shemkovitz for documenting the event with these photos.
