Dr. Jacob (Kobi) Haviv is the CEO and Director General of Herzog Medical Center in Jerusalem, one of Israel’s leading institutions for mental health, psychotrauma, rehabilitation, and complex medical care. A physician specializing in public health, occupational medicine, and medical management, Dr. Haviv brings over three decades of leadership experience in military and civilian healthcare systems. Prior to joining Herzog, he served in senior medical roles in the Israel Defense Forces and as Deputy Director of Kaplan Medical Center. Since assuming leadership of Herzog in 2020, Dr. Haviv has guided the hospital through major national crises, including COVID-19 and the current war, while advancing Herzog’s role in mental health, trauma care, emergency preparedness, and long-term resilience.
