Adult Ed and Israel Committees will be hosting an Israeli Film Festival this summer. The movies to be screened are suitable for adults and older teens.
The second film in the series will be “A Matter of Size” directed by Sharon Maymon and Erez Tadmor.
A Matter of Size (2009) is a heartwarming Israeli comedy that turns body shaming on its head. Part sports drama, part love story, this sweetly absurd tale shows forlorn blue-collar guys pursuing a difficult goal. It follows a group of overweight friends in Ramle, Israel, who quit their agonizing diet club to discover self-acceptance and empowerment through the ancient Japanese sport of sumo wrestling.
