DESCRIPTION:Adult Ed will be hosting an Israeli Film Festival this summer. 
 The second film in the series will be "Shoelaces"&nbsp\;directed by Jacob 
 Goldwasser.\n\n“Shoelaces” tells the story of a complicated relationsh
 ip between an aging father and his special-needs son\, whom he abandoned w
 hile he was still a young boy. Reuben’s kidneys are failing and his son 
 Gadi\, wants to donate one of his kidneys to help save his father’s life
 . However\, the transplant committee objects to the procedure claiming tha
 t Rueben\, acting as Gadi’s sole legal guardian\, does not have the righ
 t to authorize such an invasive procedure. The film’s portrayal of a rel
 ationship full of love\, rejection\, and co-dependency\, &nbsp\;sheds ligh
 t on and questions the importance of human life and human connection.&nbsp
