Whether you’re a long-time member or joining us for the first time, The Emanuel Synagogue welcomes anyone who wishes to pray with us on the High Holidays.
We offer youth and family services for children of all ages, along with babysitting for our youngest guests.

👨👩👧👦 Members who wish to obtain additional High Holiday tickets for guests and/or adult children (ages 25+), AND those in the Community who wish to attend, should complete the online form HERE, or download and return completed form to The Emanuel.
Tickets must be picked up at The Emanuel Synagogue beginning August 20th; specific days and times will be listed in your confirmation email and can be viewed HERE.
All services will be in person and on Livestream; Erev RH will also be on Zoom.

Janice has been an early childhood educator since 1978, teaching and programming at Solomon Schechter Day School, The Emanuel Synagogue, The Mandell JCC, and Literacy Volunteers of Central Connecticut. She loves passing on the joy and meaning of Judaism to the next generation. She enjoys leading services using songs, felt board activities, and stories to introduce the meaning and rituals of Shabbat and holidays.

Cantor Jenn recently traded Atlanta for the North Shore of Massachusetts with her husband and 13-year-old twins after spending several wonderful years living in Israel. A passionate Jewish educator and musician, she loves bringing Torah, Hebrew, and Jewish tradition to life through music, storytelling, creativity, and plenty of fun. She can’t wait to celebrate the High Holy Days with your families and help create joyful memories for children of all ages!
Leader for Middle School-Aged Students
Gilana has been a member of The Emanuel Synagogue community and a faculty member of the Rabbi Philip and Ruth Lazowski Religious School since 2019, initially teaching in person before transitioning to Zoom-based instruction. Gilana holds a master’s in education and a BA in religion and philosophy with a minor in psychology, both from Rutgers University, and also studied religion and interfaith dialogue at Hartford Seminary (now Hartford International University for Religion and Peace). Gilana is passionate about building community and fostering joyful, pluralistic, and meaningful Jewish experiential learning opportunities!

Giving to our synagogue is at the very heart of our tradition. Please support the annual Kol Nidre Appeal by making a gift, at a level that is comfortable for you. Your generosity is needed to support our congregation’s multitude of rich spiritual experiences, creative holiday and social programs, Religious School, youth and family learning, the upkeep of our beautiful building and our daily operations. Revenue from membership dues, rental fees and endowment income do not fully fund our vibrant activities.
Every gift you make to the Kol Nidre Appeal strengthens our congregation’s ability to bring meaning, belonging, spirituality, lovingkindness and joy to the lives of our members and ourselves.
Our Book of Remembrance/Yizkor Book is an important tradition at The Emanuel Synagogue, and contains the names of those whom you wish to remember during Yizkor. This book is used during the Yizkor service at Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Pesach, and Shavuot. We will accept names for the Yizkor Book through August 21, 2026.
