Graveside funeral services will be on Sunday, May 27, at 3:00 p.m., at Beth Alom Cemetery, Allen Street, in New Britain. The family will greet visitors immediately after the funeral at the New Britain Unity Lodge #148, 10 Mason Drive, New Britain. Shiva will be held during the day on Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 1536 Stanley Street in New Britain. He was predeceased by a son, Lawrence Rothkopf. Wife, Debbie Miller; son, Nick Wright Miller (Emily); two granddaughters; a sister, Judy Silver; two nephews, Rand and David Silver; and their entire family on the passing of Robert (“Bobby”) Wright Miller, May 17, 2018/3 Sivan 5778. Shiva was observed in St. Louis. A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service is planned for August in St. Louis. Husband, Mel Simon; daughters, Danielle, Kira and Talia; father, Joseph Goldman; sisters, Cheryl Friedman and her husband Mark and Rena Schunk and her husband Ted; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken and Pam Simon and Chet Simon and Dana Getz; and their entire family on the passing of Carrie Simon May 18, 2018/4 Sivan 5778. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at 2:00 p.m., in the Main Sanctuary at The Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford. Interment will follow at The Emanuel Synagogue cemetery in Wethersfield. Following interment, the family will gather at The Emanuel Synagogue for a shiva meal. Shiva will continue at the home of Mel Simon, 26 Winterset Lane, in West Hartford, Tuesday evening, 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with evening minyan at 8 p.m. each of those nights. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carrie and Mel Simon Fund at The Emanuel Synagogue or to the New Britain Museum of American Art.
