David M. Mizrahi Fidanque, whose family has been longtime members of the Jewish community of Panama and pro-Israel activists, will take us virtually to Jewish Panama, which sits at the crossroads of the Americas and is home to its world-famous Canal, one of the busiest trading routes in the world and is also home to a thriving Jewish Community dating back over a century. It is perhaps the only country other than Israel to have had two Jewish presidents in the XX Century. Home to more than 10,000 Jews, it is the largest continuously existing Jewish Community in Central America and the Caribbean. The presentation will give a historical, demographic, social, gastronomic, and spiritual visit to this small but outstanding community.
