Early Childhood

Emanuel Synagogue has a vibrant, active community of families with young children who are welcome at ALL synagogue activities and services, however we ALSO offer the following programs geared towards children 5 and under* with a caregiver.  *Older siblings are welcome to attend too!

Kibbitz & Nosh

Meets Thursdays at 11 am. Bring your child and enjoy a little kibitzing (talking), open play, and a little nosh (lunch). Join us weekly or when you can! FREE and open to children 5 and under with their caregiver. Non-members are welcome!

Tot Shabbat

Sing, pray, dance, read stories and play Shabbat-friendly games. This interactive religious service for children ages 5 and under with caregiver, meets on scheduled Saturdays at 10:30 am at The Emanuel. The program concludes in the Main Sanctuary with Adon Olam on the bima. Families are invited to join the rest of the congregation for Kiddush lunch

Shabbat Jams

Similar to Tot Shabbat (above) this Early Childhood family program meets at 11:00 am on scheduled Saturdays.
This fun service connects children, families, and grownups through hands on music, stories, and play! The cost is free, and the experience is priceless. Families are invited to join the rest of the congregation for Kiddush lunch.

Tot Shabbat and Shabbat Jams are both free and open to all, as part of our monthly Programming for Kids and Families on Shabbat.

Bagels, Blocks & Beyond

Through music, art, and stories, pre-school aged children and their caregivers learn together about Jewish holidays and values. Bagels, Blocks and Beyond meets various times throughout the year at The Emanuel Synagogue. It is free and open to the community.
