Adult Ed will be hosting an Israeli Film Festival this summer. The first film in the series will be “America,” directed by Ofir Raul Graizer.
“America“ tells the story of an Israeli swimming tutor living in Chicago who returns to Israel after 10 years of absence to bury his father. While there, he reconnects with a beloved childhood friend and meets the friend’s fiancée. This encounter sets off a series of events that deeply affect all of their lives. The film moves between a flower shop and an ancient monastery, a swimming pool in Chicago, and the Mediterranean Sea, exploring themes of love, memory, and the complexities of human connection.
