Join us for a family-friendly Hanukkah party on the fourth night of Chanukah in the Silverman auditorium beginning at 5:30 pm. There will be music, crafts, and food, and we will light the chanukiah together. You may bring your own chanukiah and candles to light if you wish.
Chopped: Latke Edition Emanuel members in 8th – 12th grade will compete to have the best latke recipe. Contestants will have their latkes judged by the congregation during the synagogue Hanukkah party on 12/1. To participate email Barbara Fink.
The party is free, but in the spirit of Tikkun Olam, we are soliciting donations to be split between the Connecticut Immigrant & Refugee Coalition (CIRC), an organization deeply committed to immigration reform and protecting the rights of and economic development of refugee and immigrant communities in Connecticut, and The Emanuel Synagogue Jewish Camp Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to families for a Jewish summer camp experience for their children. These recipients were selected by the Emanuel Social Action/B’yadeynu Committee.
We appreciate your generosity as always!
