Yizkor Book Memorializations

Our Book of Remembrance/Yizkor Book is an important tradition at The Emanuel Synagogue, and contains the names of those whom you wish to remember during Yizkor. This book is used during the Yizkor service at Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Pesach, and Shavuot.

The Book includes two sections:

Section #1: Book of Life: For a one-time charge of $360 per name, you create an Eternal Memorial, as your loved one’s name will be listed in the Book of Life section for current and future years.

Section #2: We Remember Them: The Annual Memorial section charged each year the name is submitted for inclusion, along with the name of who they will be remembered by. The fee is based on the number of names submitted; names need to be resubmitted every year.

If you would like to memorialize your loved ones in the Yizkor Book,

  • Option 1: Download form here, print/complete and mail/drop off to the Synagogue main office.
  • Option 2: Fill out the form directly on our website.

Please review your loved ones’ listings in last year’s Book of Remembrance 5785/2024.
